Draw the blade along the entire length of the Honing Steel, starting at the base of the blade and moving towards the tip, while moving down the steel in one go.4.   • Not dishwasher suitable. Clean by hand with lukewarm water and mild detergent, using a non-scratch sponge/dishcloth. Dry thoroughly immediately with a soft cloth. Do not leave the honing steel in the sink.
